ASICS Gel-Cumulus 20 Women Shoes

We loved the way in which the shoe’s outer is fortified, but we did wish for flexibility. This is one of the shoes in this review which might help you overlook some of its lesser characteristics.

Despite being comfortable, the GEL-Cumulus does possess a great deal of support. The thick overlay at the midfoot supported and helps direct the foot into the measure, leaving us feeling protected. This shoe provides a decent amount of responsiveness, and we’re surprised at how we sensed for the amount of cushioning underfoot. Compared to the HOKA Bondi, whose cushioning entirely compromises its responsiveness, the GEL-Cumulus does a better job at finding the middle ground, even though it is still not our favorite.

ASICS Gel Cumulus Running Shoes

The GEL-Cumulus includes a moderate level of cushioning which put it in the running for the best all-around street running shoe. On the other hand, the padding wasn’t anything to write home about, and we awarded it a score in this particular metric.

We can not vouch as to whether the upgrades into the GEL-Cumulus address some of the grievances we had with the previous edition, but we are connecting to the new model in this review nonethless. Be aware, however, that the review which follows relates only to the GEL-Cumulus 20. It was finally awarded the same score because the Altra Escalante for a decent yet poor performance by us. The exterior has been stiffer than in some of our favorite models, which is because of its more heavy weight, which we’ll discuss further below. We can’t deny the effect this had on our relaxation that is jogging and we appreciated models that are lighter like the Brooks Adrenaline that generated a cloud-like step.

Running Shoes for Women

Among the features we look for to recognize a more significant running shoe will be your ability to forget we even have it on. The ASICS GEL-Cumulus 20 did not permit this, thanks to company padding and its narrow toe box. Despite responsiveness and landing relaxation, we couldn’t get over the top that is awkward, leaving this particular shoe with one of the lowest scores in our inspection.

Our Analysts might have been prone to recommend that shoe to the ordinary buyer if it were not for this particular category. We were dismayed by the rigid and fit padding, which got the GEL-Cumulus one of those scores in this review.

Ringing in at $120, the GEL-Cumulus is smack in the middle of this review’s price range. Unfortunately, it was a much lower scorer, making it difficult to justify buying when the Editors’ Choice Award-winning Brooks Adrenaline costs the same amount.

Conclusion

The ASICS GEL-Cumulus is a favorite shoe that seems to have narrowed in its most recent iteration. We analyzed the prior version of the running shoes review of the past year and discovered the exact results: despite a stable structure, the upper was uncomfortable, and the landing was fair.
